Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll fly into Kathmandu with views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks coming into sight. Once you land, your support team meets you at the airport for the transfer to your hotel. After settling in, you'll have welcome drinks and the evening to relax before the trek begins.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Early flight to Lukla airstrip at 2,800m where your trekking crew is waiting. You'll spend time sorting through your gear and getting oriented, then start trekking downhill to Chaunrikharka. From there, the trail climbs into the Dudh Kosi valley heading toward Phakding where you'll stay overnight in a teahouse.

- Day 3
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
You'll cross high suspension bridges spanning the river below, then pass through the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. The trail gets steeper as you climb toward Namche, and on clear days you might catch your first view of Mt. Everest from here. Namche serves as the main trading hub for the entire Khumbu region.

- Day 4
Namche Bazaar (Rest/Acclimatization Day)
This is your acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, giving your body time to adjust to the altitude. Wander through the lodges, tea shops, and souvenir stalls at your own pace, or simply rest at your accommodation. The village sits between two ridges with mountain views surrounding you.

Namche Bazaar to Thame
Heading west from Namche, you'll trek through the Bhote Kosi Valley, an ancient trade route to Tibet. Prayer flags and mani stones along the way reflect the Tibetan Buddhist culture here. The climb to Thame is steep but offers views of Teng Kangpoche and Kwangde peaks, with Thame Gompa overlooking the village from above.

Thame to Khumjung
You'll retrace your steps back down the Bhote Kosi Valley toward Namche, then take a quieter trail branching off to Khumjung village. Stop to visit Khunde Hospital, which Sir Edmund Hillary established. Your camp here gives you excellent views of Thamserku, Kantega, and Ama Dablam.

Khumjung to Dole
From Khumjung, trek to the large Chorten sitting on a ridge below Khumbila peak at 5,734m, believed to be home to the patron god of Khumbu. Stop for lunch near Phortse bridge and pass through Phortse Tenga before climbing through rhododendron and birch forest to reach Dole.

Dole to Machermo
The trail climbs steadily along the valley as altitude increases and rhododendron forests gradually give way to scrub juniper. You'll pass summer yak grazing settlements with Cho Oyu visible ahead and Kantega and Thamserku behind you. This shorter trekking day gets you to Machermo in time for lunch.

Machermo to Gokyo
From Machermo, take the scenic path to Pangka then descend slightly along a river flowing from the Ngozumpa Glacier's western side. You'll climb a steep rocky section into the glacier valley, passing the first holy lake. Reach Gokyo on the eastern shore of the third lake called Dudh Pokhari, where emerald green waters reflect Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang.

- Day 10
Gokyo to Na
Start before sunrise and climb steeply up Gokyo Ri on the northern edge of the lake. As you go higher, summits of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu gradually come into view. The summit offers one of the best perspectives in the Everest region, with some saying it surpasses even Kala Pattar. After lunch, take a short walk down to Na village at the glacier's base.

Na to Thagnak
Wake early to see sunlight hitting Everest as it towers above surrounding peaks. You'll trek through the Ngozumpa Glacier toward the mountain on the opposite side, traverse along the mountain edge, and wander into Thagnak. This shorter day leaves you with afternoon rest time before the more challenging days ahead with significant elevation gain.

Landmarks Mount Everest Ngozumpa Glacier - Day 12
Thagnak to Dzongla
This ranks as one of the toughest days of the trek. You'll tackle the Cho La pass with steep terrain and glacier traversing on the eastern side. The vertical trail has ice-glazed rocks, and you'll cross a frozen lake decorated with prayer flags before reaching the pass. Descending through crevasses leads to Dzongla Village with views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Lobuche East, and Baruntse.

Dzongla to Lobuche
Pass teahouses at Duglha and climb onto the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. You'll come across a row of stone monuments built in memory of Sherpas who died during Everest expeditions. The trail follows the west side of the valley down to Lobuche, where the sunset views of Nuptse are particularly good from here.

Lobuche to Kala Pattar to Gorak Shep
An early morning start gets you to Gorak Shep with superb mountain views, especially where the trail crosses a tributary glacier. Stop for lunch at Gorak Shep. In the afternoon, climb to Kala Pattar at 5,554m, one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region following the Khumbu Glacier, then return to Gorak Shep.

Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp to Pheriche
Set out early for Everest Base Camp, where the trail weaves through ice pinnacles and past crevasses on the Khumbu Glacier. On the way back, take a higher route for a spectacular view of the Khumbu Icefall and the route to the South Col. Trek down to Pheriche for the night.

- Day 16
Pheriche to Kyanjuma
You'll trek downhill toward Tengboche and cross the Dudh Koshi River bridge, then continue to Kyanjuma where trails split toward Gokyo Valley, Khumjung village, and Namche Bazaar. The route offers great views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache, and Lhotse. Watch for pheasants, griffons, musk deer, and wild goats in the rhododendron forest as you explore the area.

- Day 17
Kyanjuma to Namche Bazaar
Trek downhill through hillsides covered with rhododendron and juniper trees. Cross the prayer-flag decorated bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and follow the gorge downward rapidly through pine forests. Look for colorful pheasants and mountain goats along the way. The trail reaches Sansa with views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Nuptse before winding through forest back to Namche.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Your final trekking day follows the Dudh Kosi back down to Lukla. This evening in the mountains calls for a farewell party with your Sherpa guides and porters. You'll have chang (local beer), enjoy Sherpa dancing, and take time to reflect on the trek you've just completed.

Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
A guided tour takes you through Kathmandu's historical and cultural highlights. You'll visit Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, then Pashupatinath, the most popular Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Head to Patan (Lalitpur), the City of Artisans 5km away, walking through Patan Durbar Square to see Malla-era architecture including Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Krishna Temple, and Golden Temple.
