Casablanca
You'll land at Casablanca airport this morning and arrange a shuttle to your hotel (they run every 2 hours). After you get settled in your room, meet your guide and the group at 3:00pm to explore the city. The afternoon takes you through the Central Market, Mohamed V Square, and the Habous Quarter, plus you'll see views of the Royal Palace and Hassan II Mosque. The day wraps up with a welcome dinner at Rick's Cafe Restaurant.

Casablanca
You have a full day of guided sightseeing around Casablanca. The tour hits the Central Market, Mohamed V and United Nations Squares, then moves through the Habous Quarter. Hassan II Mosque is the main highlight, and you'll also drive along the cornice at Ain Diab to see the waterfront. Dinner happens at Rick's Cafe Restaurant at 7:30pm.

Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis - Fez
After breakfast you head south to Rabat to check out the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and King Mohamed V's tomb. From there you continue on to Meknes, where the 25-mile walls surrounding the city make quite an impression. You'll walk through the ancient Jewish quarter and visit Moulay Ismail Granaries. On the way to Fez, you stop at Volubilis, which holds some of North Africa's best-preserved Roman ruins dating back to around 40 BC.

Fez
Fez is your focus today. Founded in 790 AD, it's Morocco's cultural heart, and you'll tour the medieval Medina with its colorful mix of tribal people, olive merchants, and traditional water-sellers working the narrow streets. The Mellah, the old Jewish quarter, has its own walled boundary and fortified entry. After lunch you walk the cobblestone lanes hunting for deals and visit the famous leather tanneries. Tonight brings a New Year's Eve Gala Dinner complete with a show and fireworks.

Fez - Azrou - Midelt
This morning you drive through pine and cedar forests, past terraced farms and mud-brick Berber villages in Azrou, known for wood carvings and carpet weaving. Later you reach Midelt, a quiet village positioned between the Middle Atlas and snow-capped High Atlas Mountains. The mountainsides here show off brilliant mineral deposits with shades of ruby, emerald, and topaz.

Midelt - Erfoud - Erg Chebbi Desert
You start the day at a souk practicing your bargaining skills among the vivid stalls and small shops. Then you explore Erfoud's narrow medina, passing food shops and tearooms while hunting for traditional handicrafts, fabric, and spices. The highlight is Jemaa El Fna marketplace with its juice sellers, snake charmers, dancing monkeys, and magicians. Later, 4WD vehicles take you across the High Atlas through oasis valleys and gorges dotted with Kasbahs. The day ends with a sunset camel trek across the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Erg Chebbi - Erfoud - Tinghir - Todra Gorge - Ouarzazate
After breakfast you return to Erfoud by 4WD and board the bus heading to Tinghir and then Todra Gorge. The narrow gorge fits a crystal-clear river and some trekkers, and local people live here with small donkeys and camels. By evening you reach Ouarzazate and your hotel, where dinner awaits.

Ouarzazate - Taourirt Kasbah - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
Just outside Ouarzazate sits Taourirt Kasbah, a citadel with roughly 300 rooms set against the Atlas Mountains. Next you visit Ait Benhaddou, a traditional mud brick UNESCO site that's appeared in more than 10 films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. You'll have time to shop for souvenirs or grab lunch at the restaurant terrace facing the kasbah. Then it's on to Marrakech by way of the Tichka Mountain Pass, driving through the Sahara gateway into the Marrakech Plains with walnut groves, mountain streams, and oak trees visible along the route.

The city holds Morocco's largest traditional souk, a maze of stalls selling rugs, spices, leather goods, and all sorts of other items. This evening a horse-drawn carriage takes you to Gharnata Palace for your Farewell Dinner. The palace is a beautiful private riad reached through a torch-lit narrow street in the medina. The night features an Andalusian orchestra and belly dancing.

You drive southeast to Souk Tnine de L'ourika, the entry point to the Ourika Valley. At an Argan Cooperative you learn how women cultivate argan nuts for oil, butter, and cosmetics, and samples are available to try. After browsing crafts at the village souk, you head through the valley to Setti Fatma, a popular weekend spot with streams and waterfalls. You walk through the Berber village, have lunch, and visit Setti Fatma's famous tomb before taking a short hike to the first waterfall. A saffron farm visit completes the day, teaching you about this expensive spice called 'red gold.'
