Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Tirana
You'll arrive at Albania Mother Teresa Airport and transfer to your hotel in Tirana. It's a good chance to get settled after traveling and rest up for the days ahead.
- Day 2
Tirana - Berat - Tirana
Head out on a day trip to Berat, a historic city famous for its white Ottoman houses stacked on the hillside. You'll walk through the old neighborhoods of Mangalem and Gorica, check out the castle area, and spend time at the Onufri Museum. Then it's back to Tirana for the night.

Tirana - Elbasan - Ohrid
Start traveling toward Macedonia with a stop in Elbasan, an ancient Roman city. From there you'll continue to Ohrid on the lakeshore and explore its old town with Byzantine churches, the Tsam Samule Fortress, and the Roman Theatre. You'll stay overnight in Ohrid.

Ohrid - Tetovo - Skopje
Head to Skopje, Macedonia's capital, but first stop in Tetovo on the way. There you'll visit the Sarena Dzamija and Turkish Hammam. Later in Skopje you can walk across the Stone Bridge and see the Mother Therese Memorial House. Overnight in Skopje.

Skopje - Prizren - Decani - Peja
Cross into Kosovo to see Prizren, a town filled with Ottoman and Byzantine architecture. You'll explore from the citadel down through the old town, check out the Sinan Pasha Mosque and the Stone Bridge at Schadervan Square. After that you'll visit the UNESCO-listed Decani Monastery, then head to Peja for the night.

Peja - Rozaje - Biogradska Gora - Podgorica
Move into Montenegro with a stop in Rozaje, then head to Biogradska Gora National Park. You'll take a walk around Biogradska Lake, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. After that, continue to Podgorica, Montenegro's capital, and settle in for the night.

Podgorica - Budva - Kotor - Njegusi - Podgorica
Travel to Budva on the coast, then continue to Kotor to explore the UNESCO World Heritage old town. Climbing the steps up to San Giovanni Castle takes about 1.5 hours round trip and gives you great views of Kotor Bay. Later, stop in the village of Njegusi in Lovcen National Park to try local ham, cheese, and wine. Return to Podgorica to stay overnight.

Podgorica - Shkodra - Kruja - Tirana
Head back into Albania with a morning transfer. You'll visit Shkodra on Shkodra Lake, then move to Kruja, a medieval town honoring the National Hero Skanderbeg. In the afternoon, get to Tirana to see Skanderbeg Square with the Ethem bey Mosque, Palace of Culture, and nearby government buildings. Stay overnight in Tirana.
