  1. Day 1

    Casablanca to Rabat

    Your guide meets you at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca and drives you to Rabat, about 45 miles away. After you check in, the day involves walking through the capital with guided tours of historical monuments. You'll also spend time at the vibrant Souika market, getting a feel for local commerce and the energy of the city.

  2. Day 2

    Rabat to Chefchaouen

    You head into the Jebala Rif Mountains toward the holy town of Ouazzane. There, you'll walk through the old Moorish quarter and visit the shrine of Moulay Abdellah Cherif. Lunch brings mountain specialties at a typical Moroccan restaurant, and then the journey continues climbing through the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen by evening.

    Tangier and Cape Spartel

    Your guide meets you in Tangier for a full day exploring this three-thousand-year-old city. You'll see panoramic views, walk through the little souk with spice markets, and check out the Medina and Kasbah. Stop by local bakeries and the Moorish Market to learn bargaining. Lunch includes traditional Tagines and Couscous at a restaurant with live music. Later, you visit Cape Spartel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, have a mint tea ceremony, explore the Cave of Hercules, and ride a camel at the Atlantic dunes before heading back to Chefchaouen.

You'll visit the farmer market at the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, then head to the citadel of Moulay Idris at Mount Zerhoun. Lunch in the village square features authentic Moroccan cuisine. After that, you continue to Meknes, the 17th-century Imperial city built by Moulay Ismail. You explore Hdim Square and the afternoon auction market before settling in for the night.

    You spend a full day exploring the medieval Medina of Fez, the most ancient imperial capital in the Islamic world. Your specialized guide leads a comprehensive walking tour starting at the King's Palace with its ramparts and gates. You walk through numerous souks where cobblers, saddlers, blacksmiths, carpenters, and leather workers do their trade. You see El Ashabine Square, Sagha square, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idris, Nejjarine Square with its famous fountain, the Great Mosque University of Al Quarrawiyyine, the Dyers souk, and Seffarine Square where metalworkers have tapped their craft for centuries.     Fez to Marrakech

    You depart for the Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains, starting with Azrou, an important market center for Berber tribes. Stop at Khenifra, the hub of tribal textiles, to see Berber locals trading rugs, kilims, saddlebags, and embroidered capes. The views of the High Atlas Mountains peaks soaring over 12,000 feet are constant throughout the day. You arrive in Marrakech late afternoon and settle in for dinner.
