He was friendly, always helpful, and very knowledgeable. Percy· December 2nd, 2019I was disappointed about the tour. The accommodation was really below average. I understood one night is in a tent at a camp site; therefore, this one is not an issue. The lodging at Gweta has no air conditioning, and it was hot. The lodging at Maun has air condition, but it doesn't really cool down the room in the afternoon, as the roof is canvas. Furthermore, the wifi access is not available in the room, where the itinerary indicated that wifi is available. The wifi is available in the reception area where no air conditioning, so it is hot in the summer. Then the tour guide/driver is really a driver. He is a good driver, but he provides minimum information about what to do next or local information. I understand that there is long drive involved, so he is saving his energy for minimum talking, but information is very limited, not useful. He is friendly though. If you are not set up for long driving or poor accommodation, I would not recommend this tour. I spend extra money for lodging upgrade, and I feel it is wasted. Room is poor in Gweta and Maun. Access to wifi in Gweta and Maun is only at the recetion. I feel that this should be clearly communicated in the itinerary. I'm pleased with the game drive in Chobe and sunset cruise on Chobe river. It is really a very small boat, so it can't be said as a cruise. I'm also pleased with Khama rhino sanctuary game drive. The lodging at Stevensford was good. The lodging at Kasane was OK. Most of the meals at the lodging were good, and the servers are friendly and helpful.Show more Percy· December 2nd, 2019I was disappointed about the tour. The accommodation was really below average. What our customers ask about this tour
The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.- VVictor Asked on February 26th, 2025Can you send the accommodation options Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written February 2025 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written February 2025- Accommodations on tour are a mix of independently owned properties .. standard is good tourist class up to 3 star. ; twin rooms, most ensuite, with one night in pre erected camp (in the Okavango). If you are travelling by yourself and are happy to share with another solo passenger of the same sex we will put you in a twin share room. If you prefer to be sure of a single room then (subject to availability) there is a supplement payable.
- VVictor Traveler•Written February 2025what does it mean subject to booking safari pass?
- VVictor Traveler•Written February 2025vehicles are not air conditioned.is this for all vehicles? So the 12-seater bus does not have any aircon?
- VVictor Traveler•Written February 2025Is there an alternative tour that does not include going to Nata?
Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written February 2025 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written February 2025- Some vehicles have air conditioning but others do not so we prefer to say in advertising/ marketing that none have it. Safari Pass.. Some of the park fees/ excursion are paid from the mandatory Safari pass which is why we word the dossier that way. We separate the pricing this way because some of those costs are payable directly to the suppliers locally, and we encourage clients to pay it directly to the tour guide in USD cash. (although we do have a pre payment option for those who prefer not to carry the cash).
- VVictor Traveler•Written February 2025Why do some tours have the word "ACCOMODATED" in the title? What does it mean?
Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written February 2025 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written February 2025- Accommodated means 'not camping'. The OWT7A tour is accommodated in twin rooms tourist class standard lodges, except 1 night in pre erected tents (twin share) in the Okavango Delta.

- EElena Asked on January 1st, 2024I wanted to see/experience both Namibia and Botswana. This one tour mentioned both, but the map of travel does not include Namibia but South Africa. Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written January 2024 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written January 2024- The OWT9A tour does not include Namibia. We apologise if we missed this misinformation. Alternatively we do offer 19-day tours that cover Namibia, Botswana, Victoria Falls: Tour codes: 24DTR19 and 24SWS19
- EElena Traveler•Written January 2024Thank you for your response. The info re Namibia is not on this screen, but the screen for the website where all the tours are listed. A 19 day tour is a bit too much for me for a 1st time traveling alone to a new destination.
- EElena Traveler•Written January 2024I am looking at a tour with another company that offers the possibility of sitting with the guides and with locals in villages where we can listen in to the oral history. I am open to suggestions. 9 to 12 days is my max for a first trip alone.
- EElena Traveler•Written January 2024Thank you, but these groups are too big. I want a 10-12 size group, around 9 days, with walking and activities though the tour, not just being driven around. Botswana and Zimbabwe preferred. Yes, I want to see some wildlife but I also want to walk through trails.
- EElena Traveler•Written January 2024Thanks for responding. There are too many agreeable tours offered, and I am going crazy trying to keep track of all you offer that may fit what I want. I think it would be best if I can talk to someone in person.
- EElena Traveler•Written February 2024I am considering multiple options run by TourRadar, so I want to talk to a person on the phone to ask questions and receive answers in real time. So far, I have not been able to find a phone number on the webpage.

- AAndrea Asked on November 18th, 2023What hotels are used - AAndrea Traveler•Written November 2023What is the vehicle like? How much driving is involved? Is there triple accommodations? Didn't see possible hotels listed?
Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written November 2023 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written November 2023- We use mostly independently owned properties of good tourist class standard - clean and secure, but not generally star-rated, except in Victoria Falls for the 1st 2 nights which is a 3-star property.
Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written November 2023 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written November 2023- The vehicle is a 12 seater mini-bus. Accommodation is on a twin share basis; if you are a party of three then one of you will share a twin with another passenger of the same sex.

- MMargaret Asked on October 14th, 2023Does this tour usually have solo travelers? Do you offer a tour that's better for solo travelers? What would the extra cost be for traveling alone? I'm 67, not in the greatest shape, but can still get around. Do you feel this tour would be a little tough, or more moderate activity? Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written October 2023 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written October 2023- The tour is fine for single travellers and we regularly have single people joining. Accommodation is reasonable tourist class standard - meaning clean, secure, safe, most rooms ensuite, but not 'star-rated'. Rooms are twin share. There is a small amount of walking involved but nothing strenuous.

- DDean Asked on June 25th, 2023How many people are currently confirmed on this tour? Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written June 2023 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written June 2023- 05 October tour: already 6 passengers booked. 12 October tour: already 2 passengers booked.

- NNatasha Asked on April 29th, 2023I am interested in some information regarding this tour. I am a solo traveler. I would like to know if there is a single supplement or any additional fees for being solo. Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2023 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2023- If you are happy to share a twin room with another passenger of the same sex there is no additional to pay; if you want to be sure of single accommodation the supplement payable is USD 280. All departures in September including the 07Sept tour are available but it is not yet guaranteed to operate. You can still book it and we will do all we can to attract other clients so it runs.

- MMonica Asked on December 29th, 2022What sort of accomodation will we have? and how many people in the group? Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written December 2022 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written December 2022- Currently there are 2 other passengers booked.

- LLee Asked on April 24th, 2022What is a prepaid pass? Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022- The prepaid pass refers to the Safari Pass, which is a mandatory local payment. It is separate and in addition to the Tour Price and covers the cost of selected park entries, activities and excursions as well as some accommodation along the way. The purpose of the separate payment is to ensure local suppliers benefit directly from your visit at the time of travel. There is an option to prepay the Safari Pass at the time of booking, in your booking currency, if you would rather not carry the amount in cash on you while travelling.
- LLee Traveler•Written April 2022Will this tour definitely be running? The only time I can do it is starting June 23. Is there an option for accommodation for the night of June 22?
Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022- This particular tour is not yet guaranteed. We require a minimum of 2 passengers in order to run a tour, given the time frame we are hopeful that a second traveller will be achievable. We do offer pre and post tour accommodation and airport transfers, these are an additional cost & service that can be arranged.
- LLee Traveler•Written April 2022Do you require Covid vaccines for leaders and participants? Can I do the tour as a single, and how much more would it cost? Can I go on the 7 day tour that starts June 25 if the June 23 trip doesn't run? Does it have the minimum yet?
Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022- We do ask all clients (and tour leaders) to be vaccinated against Covid. You are welcome to join as a single. If you are happy to share a room with another passenger of the same sex, there is no extra charge. If you wish to have your own room then we can arrange it for all but one night of the tour but must charge a single supplement. The 9 day 23 June departure and 7 day 25 June departure are the same tour. Currently we have no other clients booked on either date, but June is normally a popular time so we would expect people to book in the coming few weeks.

- BBrandon Asked on April 10th, 2022Will you be picking us up from the airport and dropping us back at the airport? Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022- We can certainly arrange for airport transfers as an additional service and at an additional cost.
- BBrandon Traveler•Written April 2022What does + $1,075 Prepaid Pass mean? Is that in addition to the $1345 ? Please explain.
Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written April 2022- The overall price of the tour consists of Tour Price USD 1345 + Safari Pass USD 1075 - so USD 2420 altogether. We split the price because the Safari Pass can be paid to the tour leader on day 1 (in USD cash) if you wish. Or it can be prepaid, either way the cost is USD 1075.

- JJoe Asked on March 8th, 2022What airport should we fly into and will someone be there to pick us up and take us to our accommodations in Zimbabwe/Victoria Falls? Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written March 2022 Acacia Adventure HolidaysOperator•Written March 2022- The arrival airport will be Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Clients would need to make their way to the meeting point before 3pm on Day 1, which is at Shearwater Explorers Village. You can either book directly or we can assist with booking an Airport arrival Transfer. This will be an additional cost and needed to be quoted accordingly. We suggest clients arrive a day prior to the tour departure date, or plan to arrive in the morning of Day 1.
