He was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive to needs of individual clients, as well as to the group as as a whole. Paola, who led the tour in Lucca, as also exceptional. I liked that the tour was based at a single hotel, with excursions radiating out from that point. Bonus to not have to be continually unpacking and repacking. Also liked that the tours were not "over-programed". Montecatini, was a delightful town, and it was fun to have time for individual exploration. i can't remember the tour originally advertised activity levels. There was one person in our group that struggled some physically, and probably should have been directed to a different tour. Again, Roberto did an amazing job to assure that her tour was delightful, while not holding back the rest of the group. Also thought it would be nice to have cold bottled water available for purchase on the coach - It was pretty hot during our stay.
