Show moreTrip date: July 2025 - MMaakere· November 11th, 2019Really fabulous experience hiking Alaska and Yukon, beautiful, and often majestic scenery. We had a couple of close encounters with black and grizzly bears, which was a real treat, all from the safety of the minivan. The weather was just beautiful, only rained 1 day of the 15 day tour. The hotels were a welcome treat at the end of the day's hike, and especially recommend those who included breakfast in their stay because not all did. Our guide, Stefan, was very knowledgeable about the hikes and the countryside, but had to be reminded to translate from German to English for me, when informing the mainly German group (who also spoke English). USD 400 - Kluane Flight: approx. CAD 400 Please note that all these optional extras can only be booked on the spot depending on availability and weather conditions (flights).

No, the meals are not included on that trip. You can calculate about CAD 15 for breakfast, CAD 20 for lunch and CAD 30-40 for dinner per day.

There will be a first group meeting in our tour hotel in Anchorage on the 13th at 6pm, so please make sure to arrive by then. Please let me know if you would like to book an extra night in Anchorage, we can gladly arrange that for you. Their daily rate would be CAD 360 +5% GST for a single room and CAD 390+5% GST for a double room.
