What people love about Vietnam Tours for Couples
- Vietnam Honeymoon Dream: A Week of Magic, Mountains & Beachside Bliss
Our host, Jessie, met us near the market, and was immediately a fantastic guide, showing us the intricacies of local life in Hanoi. We went to the wet market and bought meat, fresh veg, tofu, and everything else needed for the cooking class later in the day, After a short ride (~10 mins?) to the cooking school venue, we started our cooking class. We had a fantastic time, learning how to prepare for, assemble and cook spring rolls, bun cha (sweet & sour noodle soup with pork meatballs and sliced pork belly), mango salad (our favourite) and egg coffee. I can recommend this experience to everyone, of any age and any cooking ability. I’m a moderately experienced home chef, but learned so much about how to cook Vietnamese food from Jessie. Thank to you Jessie and to the whole team for their effort, expertise and kindness, we had a fantastic time with you all!

What our customers ask about Romantic Vietnam Trips & Honeymoon Packages
What's the best time of year for couples to visit Vietnam?
Vietnam's best visiting times depend on which part of the country you want to explore. Up north in Hanoi and Halong Bay, plan your trip between October and December when the weather is mild around 70-75°F (21-24°C) with clear skies - perfect for a peaceful cruise. If you're heading to central spots like Hoi An or Hue, book between January and April when temperatures stay comfortable at 75-82°F (24-28°C). Down south in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, December through February brings dry, cooler weather at 77-82°F (25-28°C). One couple on TourRadar shared: "We visited in November and had perfect weather for our romantic Halong Bay cruise with stunning sunsets."
Which Vietnamese cities offer the best romantic dining experiences?
Each Vietnamese city serves up its own special dining experiences. In Hanoi's Old Quarter, you can eat at cozy rooftop spots or in traditional courtyards like Madame Hien. Hoi An lets you dine by candlelight next to the Thu Bon River in the Ancient Town, or learn to cook together in a local home. Ho Chi Minh City mixes it up with fancy rooftop restaurants like EON Heli Bar and intimate food walks through District 1. For something different, try dinner in a cave during a Halong Bay cruise or share a home-cooked meal in Mai Chau Valley. As one TourRadar traveler put it: "The local food tours were incredibly romantic, especially the evening walks through Hanoi's lantern-lit streets."
Which activities in Vietnam are best suited for couples?
Vietnam offers plenty of ways to spend quality time together. Learn to cook Vietnamese dishes in Hoi An, watch the sunset from a boat in Halong Bay, or bike through the rice fields of Mai Chau. Take a quiet boat ride in Ninh Binh, explore Hanoi's Old Quarter with your camera, or get a couple's spa treatment in Hue. If you're both up for some adventure, go hiking in Sapa or check out the caves in Phong Nha. One TourRadar traveler said: "The combination of active adventures and romantic moments made our Vietnam experience perfect - from kayaking together in Halong Bay to intimate dinners in ancient towns."
What are the best areas for couples to stay in major Vietnamese cities?
In Hanoi, you'll want to stay in the charming Old Quarter near Hoan Kiem Lake - the TK-123 Hanoi Hotel is a good pick there. For Ho Chi Minh City, look for hotels in District 1, like the Elios Hotel Saigon, where you'll be close to all the rooftop spots and good restaurants. In Hoi An, stay along the river near the Ancient Town - couples really like the Lantana Riverside Hotel for its location and atmosphere.
How can couples combine relaxation with cultural experiences in Vietnam?
You can easily mix laid-back moments with local culture in Vietnam. Start your day with Tai Chi on a Halong Bay cruise, then visit historic places like Tran Quoc Pagoda in Hanoi. In Hoi An, spend mornings at An Bang Beach and afternoons exploring spots like the Japanese Covered Bridge. The Pilgrimage Village resort in Hue lets you get spa treatments between visits to the Imperial City. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The mix of activities and free time was perfect - we could explore together but also had time to relax and enjoy each other's company."
What are the most scenic routes for couples traveling through Vietnam?
Take the beautiful Hai Van Pass between Hue and Hoi An for amazing ocean views. The road through Ninh Binh shows off limestone cliffs and peaceful rivers, while traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho lets you see the Mekong Delta's waterways and floating markets. The 104-mile trip from Hanoi to Halong Bay takes you past rice fields and small villages. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "the romantic drive along the Hai Van Pass, where every turn offered another perfect photo opportunity."
