Ship Overview

Built in 2011, the RV Katha Pandaw follows traditions of 19th century colonial-style river vessels but incorporates new, radical design elements aimed to provide a premium cruise experience. With its small size and light draft, this boutique ship effortlessly navigates the mighty Irrawaddy as well as hard to reach regions of Chindwin River waterways. She was run on Vietnam’s Mekong River for about a year before being sent to Myanmar. Accommodations include sixteen spacious, outside facing staterooms spread over two decks. The ship’s public areas such as the Observation Deck, Promenade and dining room all offer magnificent views of riverside scenery.
