14 Day Middle East Itinerary, incl. Cairo and Jerusalem
An unforgettable 14-day tour visiting 12 cities across Egypt and Jordan. Marvel at 3 UNESCO sites including Petra and Valley of Kings, with 3 nights Nile cruising on M/S Concerto. Rest at 5-star Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo and enjoy 22 included meals with expert guides throughout.
- Days 1-3
Cairo
Begin your Middle East adventure in Cairo. Plan to arrive around mid-day to skip the morning traffic rush from the airport. Use your first evening to rest and adjust to the time zone. Head to the Giza pyramid complex at 8 AM on day 2 before it gets too hot and busy. Spend day 3 exploring Islamic Cairo and Coptic sites, finishing with a relaxing boat ride on the Nile at sunset.
- Days 4-7
Nile Cruise
Catch a morning flight to Aswan. Check in to your cruise ship around noon and visit the High Dam and Philae Temple. The next morning brings a 3-hour drive to Abu Simbel. Pack some layers since desert mornings can be cold. Your ship then sails north to Kom Ombo, Edfu, and Luxor, where you'll explore both sides of the Nile including the Valley of the Kings.
- Days 8-10
Jordan
Fly to Amman and drive to the Roman ruins of Jerash. Visit Petra early the next day, entering through the Siq to see the Treasury in the morning light. You'll walk 5-8 miles in Petra, so good shoes are a must. Take a guided tour in the morning and explore on your own in the afternoon when the lighting is perfect for photos.
- Days 11-14
Israel & Palestinian Territories
14 Days Middle East, incl. Istanbul and Cairo
A captivating 14-day tour through 14 cities across Egypt and Jordan, featuring 3 nights on luxury Nile cruise. Marvel at UNESCO sites including Valley of Kings, Petra, and Abu Simbel. Luxuriate in 5-star Cairo hotels, luxury Petra camps, and the therapeutic waters of Dead Sea.
- Days 1-2
Istanbul
- Days 3-4
Cappadocia
Take the morning flight from Istanbul to Kayseri, then drive 60 minutes to Cappadocia. Book hot air balloons well ahead since they sell out fast and weather can be unpredictable in winter. You'll need good walking shoes with grip for the cave churches in Göreme Open Air Museum. Watch your step after rain.
- Days 5-6
Cairo & Giza
- Days 7-9
Nile Cruise
- Days 10-11
Petra
- Days 12-13
Wadi Rum & Dead Sea
- Day 14
Amman
14 Days in Jordan & Egypt, incl. Petra and Cairo
A 14-day tour spanning 15 cities across Jordan and Egypt. Take a 45-minute camel ride in Wadi Rum, sail Lake Nasser to Abu Simbel, and tour the illuminated Luxor Temple at night. The package includes 9 breakfasts, 4 dinners, and internal flight Cairo-Aswan.
- Days 1-4
Jordan's Cultural Heritage
Plan to arrive in Amman early to adjust to the time zone. On day 2, travel north to the 12th-century Ajlun Fortress and Roman ruins at Jerash, about 1.5 hours from Amman. Spend day 3 exploring the Desert Castles and viewing Madaba's famous 6th-century mosaic map. Start day 4 with an early morning float in the Dead Sea when the water is calmest. Bring water shoes since the salt crystals can be sharp.
- Days 5-7
Petra & Desert Experience
Travel to Petra along the historic King's Highway. Stop at Dana village and Shobak Castle on the way. Start your Petra exploration by 7 AM to beat the heat and crowds. The next day, head to Wadi Rum for a 45-minute camel trek and 4x4 desert safari. Bring a light scarf to protect against blowing sand.
- Days 8-10
Cairo's Ancient Treasures
Your first full day in Egypt should focus on Cairo's main attractions: the Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum. When crossing borders, have $92 in exact cash ready for entry and exit fees between Jordan, Israel, and Egypt. Take time to visit the Coptic Quarter and Citadel. The morning call to prayer from the Alabaster Mosque creates a special atmosphere you won't forget.
- Days 11-14
Nile Journey to Luxor
Take your included flight to Aswan for the southern portion of Egypt. Visit Abu Simbel early in the morning to see the temples' impressive facade at sunrise. Take a felucca boat ride around Aswan's islands and visit the Philae Temple. Travel north to Luxor, making stops at Kom Ombo and Edfu temples. Spend your final days exploring Luxor's west and east banks. Visit the Valley of the Kings early before tour buses arrive.

- Petra and the Nile
Overall, the tour was exactly as advertised - from airport pickup, exellent guides, good vehicles and good hotels.
- Jordan and Egypt 14 days
We loved our tour guide in Aswan and Luxor region. Very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and very personable. I recommend this guide highly. (Ahmed Hakim) All our airport pickups were on time and very helpful. Got us through immigration quickly and efficiently. Accommodations were good. Not quite up to American standards but good. Hotels had buffets. Some better than others but all good. The trip went smoothly with no issues. I have no complaints.
