What people love about Japan Tours in September
- 9 Days Splendid Japan Deluxe with Nagoya(4 star hotels)
A wonderful tour with a well-chosen selection of hotels and a friendly group of fellow travelers. Our guide, Silvia, did an excellent job throughout, and the bus driver provided a smooth and comfortable ride.
- Japan Express – Osaka to Tokyo
The tour provided a tremendous amount of insight into the Japanese culture. Our guide, Mack Moriya, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. The visit to Mt. Koya was much more spiritual and impactful than what we had imagined it to be ... a truly great beginning to our week immersed in the Japanese experience. Our tour only had 6 people in it which made the interaction very personal and immediate. A person booking this tour should be prepared for a lot of walking each day and, if you are lucky enough to have Mack as your guide, he will be sure that all of your needs are met and your questions answered. All in all, this was a great experience for us.
- Essential Japan
Jose was a really patient and knowledgeable guide. He really enjoys and respects Japanese culture. He was really good at keeping the group on schedule and answering questions along the tour. I was fortunate to be part of a really nice group of people. Half were English speaking and the other half were Spanish speaking. Jose is tri-lingual and is able to communicate in English, Spanish and Japanese. The day started around 8am, and I'm not really a morning person, but once you get on the bus, you can nap until you reach your destination. Also, the breakfasts are usually something to look forward to. Most accommodations offered western and Asian style buffet breakfasts. So a lot of different breakfast foods to choose from. The driver was really punctual and got us to where we needed to go without any problems. It was nice having someone else do the leg work of getting us from one destination to the next. One issue that I had with Europamundo is when it came to booking. There was a lot of latency between questions and answers that I had about the tour. Sometimes I'd wait for several days (up to 5 days) for a response. After being given very little details about pre and post book process and not hearing back from anyone, I went ahead and booked my own pre and post nights myself. My desire to have a post book night was that I wasn't sure how much time I needed to travel back to Tokyo from Osaka, so wanted to have enough time to get there prior to my plane departure. After letting the admin know about this, I was told after, that if I booked any days on my own, I wouldn't be given transportation from the airport. So, after telling her that I pre and post booked days in Tokyo, I decided to defer to Europamundo and have them do the booking so that I would get the transfer from the airport to the hotel. What wasn't made clear, is that post book for them, meant an extra day in Osaka. I had no interest in staying an extra day in Osaka, and from the conversation, thought I was clear with booking a post day (which I had cancelled so I could get transfer to hotel) in Tokyo and NOT in Osaka. In hind sight, I think there is much to be desired with the communication that I experienced booking with Europamundo, which is why I gave the overall experience 4 stars. I felt that questions were not answered with much detail and it took staff a long time in some cases to answer questions that I had. A suggestion that I might offer other travelers is to double check your itinerary to make sure all is correct. Especially if you are interested in booking a post night in a city that isn't last on the itinerary.

What special festivals and events can I experience in Japan during September?
Japan's September calendar features notable celebrations like the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival in Osaka where teams race elaborately decorated wooden floats through narrow streets. The nationwide Tsukimi (Moon Viewing) Festival brings locals and visitors together for evening gatherings especially at Kyoto venues such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the Gion district. These autumn festivals mark the beginning of the fall season with traditional moon viewing parties gathering momentum across temple grounds. According to TourRadar travelers "The festivals in September added such a special touch to our trip through Japan."
What are the best places to visit in Japan during September?
September offers comfortable conditions to explore Kyoto's most visited temples including Kinkaku-ji and Fushimi Inari without peak summer crowds.
