What people love about Japan Tours in September
- Japan Classic 10 Day - One Life Adventures
Loved loved loved this tour! Our guide Joe was amazing. No request too small and was always on hand to make sure everyone was having a good time. We were also really lucky to be in a smaller group on one of one life's first every tours there - the whole crew was amazing! I was completely blown away by the tour and by Japan as a country! Every day felt like a whole new adventure with so much stuff going on. We saw the best of Tokyo with some interesting surprises along the way. Piss Alley (crazy name, awesome place!) was one of my highlights because it felt so authentic. I also loved exploring the streets of old Kyoto in the evenings. It really feels like you're stepping back in time. There are so many things in this tour that you get tremendous value. The only thing is that I wish it was longer! Being in my early 30's I was a little worried that I wouldn't fit in but that wasn't the case at all. There were a bunch of people from all ages and Joe made sure the entire group felt like one big family after the first day. I would definitely recommend this trip, thanks guys! xxx
- 9 Days Splendid Japan Deluxe with Nagoya(4 star hotels)
We had a great time and enjoyable trip with appropriate schedule. Saved a lot of time and worries for us! Appreciate the team and highly recommend to all who are interested!
- Japan Discovery - 15 Days
The tour was well organized and our guide Suzanne was very helpful to make sure that everybody on the tour is comfortable. For 15 days trip, we had 2 free days to explore ourself. My suggestion would be to add one more free day to relax. Also, the trip ended in Tokyo with only one day to explore. Having a guided tour in Tokyo added to the package would help in addition to a free exploration in Tokyo

What special festivals and events can I experience in Japan during September?
Japan's September calendar features notable celebrations like the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival in Osaka where teams race elaborately decorated wooden floats through narrow streets. The nationwide Tsukimi (Moon Viewing) Festival brings locals and visitors together for evening gatherings especially at Kyoto venues such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the Gion district. These autumn festivals mark the beginning of the fall season with traditional moon viewing parties gathering momentum across temple grounds. According to TourRadar travelers "The festivals in September added such a special touch to our trip through Japan."
What are the best places to visit in Japan during September?
September offers comfortable conditions to explore Kyoto's most visited temples including Kinkaku-ji and Fushimi Inari without peak summer crowds. The towering stalks of Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and the slopes of Mount Fuji showcase early signs of autumn. The Dotonbori district in Osaka comes alive in the evening as temperatures cool making it ideal for street food adventures. The Tsutaya Hotel in Tokyo's vibrant Shinjuku district provides easy access to city highlights during this pleasant time of year.
