What people love about Japan Tours in October
- Best of Japan: Tokyo to Osaka (Private Guided, 4-star Hotels)Odynovo customized our tour of Japan China and Hong Kong based on to our needs. It was one of the best trips we had. We have taken few other trips with Odynovo and have always been very satisfied.
- 7 Days Customized Tokyo and Kansai Classic Tour (private guide & driver)Family TourWe were really happy with our tour to Japan, it was booked by phoebe I sent a list of things I wanted to do & her was able to arrange everything into the week with the tour & make other suggestions of things to do when I said we weren't so interested in doing food based tours we was able to make other great options & everything was booked well. In Tokyo our guide was Tina she was so friendly, enthusiastic and informative she really knew a lot about Japanese history. She was very good at telling us stories from Japanese mythology and didn't mind that we spent ages up Mt Fuji as the clouds were clearing. In Kyoto & Osaka our guide was Karen she really good she knew when was the best time to visit different places so we were there when it was not so busy, which is hard during Cherry Blossom season, she also knew it was best to get deer crackers before lunch because they all sell out after it at Nara. She also knew the best time and place to go in Kyoto & we managed to see Geisha. She was also brilliant on our days in public transport & managed to get me a seat on every bus & train journey which is amazing with how busy some of the buses were in the morning & evenings. On the days when we were with drivers they were always very polite.
- 5Day All Inclusive Japan Classics(Private Guide and Driver)Family Tour CustomizableFrom the moment we started planning our trip, Amber, the travel designer from UME Travel, exceeded everyone’s expectations. She took the time to understand our interests and carefully crafted an itinerary that perfectly balanced iconic landmarks with unique experiences. Her attention to detail and quick responses made the entire process incredibly smooth. Thanks to the guide’s expertise and the driver’s excellent skills, we enjoyed a relaxed and unforgettable journey through Japan in just five short days.

The Takayama Autumn Festival brings ancient customs to life in Gifu Prefecture while Kyoto's Jidai Matsuri on October 22nd showcases historical pageantry. Local festivals often feature traditional performances costumes and ceremonies unique to each region.
- How crowded are popular tourist destinations in Japan during October?- October draws significant crowds but remains more manageable than peak cherry blossom season. Popular sites like the Golden Pavilion and Sensoji Temple see steady visitor flows throughout the day. Strategic accommodation choices such as Hotel Hanshin Osaka or The Gate Hotel Ryogoku provide convenient access to attractions while offering respite from the busiest areas. Morning visits to major sites often yield smaller crowds.

In Sapporo the Nijo Market becomes a destination for autumn seafood particularly fresh crab and salmon. Local food tours often incorporate these seasonal specialties into their itineraries.
- Are October tours more expensive than other months?- Peak season pricing applies during October with tours typically costing 10-20% more than shoulder season rates.
