What people love about Ireland Tours in September
- 8-Day Emerald Explorer Small Group Tour
Thank you Overland Tours and especially our guide Finn. Our vacation was incredible due to you! Can’t recommend Finn enough for all his knowledge, driving skills, attentiveness and friendship on our seven day tour of Ireland.
- Treasures of Ireland (End Dublin)
I love it and would go again
- Taste of Ireland (Tour A) - 7 Days/6 Nights (9 destinations)
We just completed Taste Of Ireland Tour A. We had Pat Cooney as our tour director/bus driver, and he was a pleasure to spend a week with, very informative, and great sense of humor. We even got him singing songs with us. The safety measures throughout Ireland were impressive; masks in use, checking of vaccination cards, etc. We felt very safe. Dinner show at Taylor’s in Dublin was very good. Clayton Hotel is a beautiful building located in an upscale neighborhood in the south section of Dublin, with shops and restaurants a few minutes walk away, and a bus stop right out in front that we used. Blarney castles has beautiful gardens but we skipped kissing the stone due to COVID. Killarney is a terrific little town which we really enjoyed, and the Killarney towers hotel is steps away from the center of town. Dinner at hotel was very good. Ring of Kerry tour has spectacular scenery and frequent photo stops. Sheepdog demonstration was a lot of fun and informative. Skellig experience a bit of a disappointment as it was very foggy/misty, but the story of the islands is fascinating. Cliffs of Moher are needless to say gorgeous, and we had bright sunshine while there. Treaty Oakwood hotel in Shannon is nice, but off by itself with nothing to speak of near it, and we missed not having the Dinner show, which was substituted with a trip to Durty Nelly’s for dinner which had great food but no show. Galway is good for shopping with many stores located downtown. Academy Plaza hotel has very small rooms, and ours had a broken air conditioner which was quickly remedied by moving us to another room. It is right off O’Connell street so everything is within walking distance. All in all a terrific time, and our small group of just 13 got along great on our huge bus, always important! Highly recommend.
