What people love about Asia Tours in May
- Southeast Asia Discovery: Seasides and Street Food
Indochina Discovery was the best time of my life so far. The first time I have travelled solo and it was fantastic. I had the best group I could possibly wish for. We all loved a good party, we all got along and all brought something unique to the group. We all still speak regularly in our group chat. Our CEO Apple, is a huge inspiration and the nicest women i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. If anyone is lucky enough prepare for the best time and lots of tequila, she knows everyone in every place meaning good discounts for her "family" (as she called us). The activities were amazing, and a large variety of them too. The only issue i had was they were more expensive than they were displayed on G's website (only by a few dollars though). I would budget $400-500 if you want to do most activities (which i did). The places we visited were so eye opening, and it makes you realise how lucky you are. Amazing culture, taking into consideration the places such as Cambodia are very poor, so they are pretty scruffy but its part of the fun. Saying this, it didn't change my opinion on the activities and things we got up to. Laos is stunning!. It is very difficult for me to write everything I loved on this trip, because it was out of this world. I spent £1000, but bought a tailor made suit in Hoi an, drank every night, did most activities, and we ate at nice places. Easily can do it cheaper, but I wouldn't change what I did or spent for the world. I would recommend to anyone, and already have friends who have booked on to this trip for the future. Hope anyone who books onto this has the time of their life, as I did. Enjoy guys! Thank you, Gadventures!
- 5 Stans and Caucasus
Our guide Gulya was amazing, there was just 3 of us in a group, we laughed and talked, asked questions. After being in more than 120 countries, 5 Stans with East Site for sure made to the top of our list.
- 31-Day Southeast Asia Adventure: Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia
Overall it was an excellent experience for the amount that I paid for. For our trip, we visited three countries: Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Laos was excluded because of ongoing travel issues from the COVID-19 pandemic. Each country had its own tour guide which stayed with us until we transferred to another country. All three were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would rate them 5/5. As for the accommodations, it varied between hotels and hostels. I personally stayed in the double rooms so I can only speak to that setup. Initially I was a little surprised at some of the accommodations because some didn’t have hot shower water or A.C. But I also understood that it’s the norm in the town we were staying in too, so it’s expected. I felt that most of the accommodations were acceptable and the ones that we did have issues with we notified our tour guide who notified The Dragon Trip. They then stated that they would consider changing those accommodations for future trips. Our issues were not with the lack of hot water or A.C. It was more so a lack of cleanliness within the rooms. I would rate the accommodations 3/5, but know that more than likely The Dragon Trip will improve the accommodations based on our feedback. Lastly I want to touch on the activities, as there were many. Most of them you had to pay separately, but the costs were usually pretty cheap. Additionally these costs can be found on The Dragon Trip website in the itinerary section for the trip so there were no secrets either. I felt that these activities had a large variety range. There were historic (walking tours, site visits, etc), adventure (Quad bike riding, rafting, trekking, etc), cultural (cooking classes, water puppet shows, etc), and other options to chose from too. The best part is the tour allowed you to pick and choose which one you wanted to do. So if you wanted to relax for the day you could do so. I easily rate the activities 5/5. As mentioned, the tour was amazing. It was very fast paced at times in terms of moving a lot, but this was to be expected. In the end I felt that the price was well worth the experience, especially considering the fact that it lasted a whole month in three different countries. I initially booked this trip as a means of exploring a region I’ve always had interest in. What I walked away with is a better understanding of the region’s people, culture, and history. This, combined with a lifetime of memories, was more than I expected, and I must thank The Dragon Trip for giving me this experience.
