Luxury Spain Tours & Trips Reviews
- Discovery of Spain - 10 daysI truly enjoyed my trip in Spain. It was a memorable one! I learned a lot about Spanish arts and history. Spain is such lovely country to visit easily adaptable due to its warm and nice people. There’s some pros and cons for this tour but I still recommend this to anyone. Majority of the tourists are Spanish speaking or Bilingual speaking. It’s understandable that the tour guides favors the majority of the group. I just have to be assertive to remind the tour guide to translate whatever the information he or she’s giving in English. Some of the information given to me during the tour I have to google it on my own. Some of the English translations provided to me were incomplete & summarized in a nutshell unlike the Spanish info were given in full details. I do understand the transition to both languages is challenging but at least they tries their best. Shout out to Phil and Antonio, the tour guides. They did an awesome job. Mapa plus service is reliable. pick up and drop off to airport to hotel and vice versa were on time. Hotel choices are decent. Some of the meals included in the package wan’t that great specially in Granada hotel. It was OK and acceptable when you don’t have any options coz it’s already paid for.
- Journeys: Discover Spain National Geographic JourneysLalo was fantastic!! He added so much to the trip. It would not have been as good as it was without him. He made us feel comfortable everywhere! He obtained local guides that were wonderful. THe accommodations were fine, except for the hotel in Madrid - Acta Medfor. In fact, I arrived a day early and paid for one day. Although I made my reservation two months early, they charged me 244 Euros for one night, which was outrageous as it was a much lower quality hotel. My buddy on the trip also did the same and she was only charged 130 euros. Can't figure it out but feel ripped-off. I should have stayed some place else but only stayed there for the convenience of joining the tour.
- Treasures of Spain and Portugal (End Barcelona)Enjoyed everything about our tour.
What our customers ask about Spain Luxury Tours & Trips
- What type of luxury accommodations can I expect on a high-end tour of Spain?- High-end tours in Spain provide stays at select 4 and 5-star hotels placed in central locations that give easy access to major attractions. You'll find properties like the 5-star Eurostars Hotel Real in Santander which sits above Playa de los Peligros beach and the refined Hesperia Madrid on the city's most fashionable boulevard. Some tours include stays at the Barceló Valencia with views of the City of Arts and Sciences or the NH Collection Santiago de Compostela which brings modern comforts to a historic setting. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "The hotels were comfortable and in great locations and we appreciated a nice balance of included amenities."
- What types of special access or VIP experiences are offered?- Top-tier tours give you access to experiences most visitors don't get. You can take private flamenco classes at Seville's Cristina Heeren Foundation visit the Alhambra Palace in Granada after regular hours or join cooking sessions with local chefs in Valencia. The programs often include private wine tastings guided museum visits with art experts and nights in historic paradors. A TourRadar traveler shares: "The private flamenco lesson in Seville and exclusive early access to the Alhambra before the crowds made us feel truly special."
- What is the best time of year for luxury travel in Spain?- For the best travel conditions plan your Spanish journey during spring (April-May) or fall (September-October). These months bring mild weather and fewer tourists. Cities like Seville and Granada see temperatures around 70-75°F (21-24°C). Southern Spain gets quite hot in summer while coastal spots like San Sebastian stay comfortable year-round. According to a TourRadar traveler: "Our September tour provided perfect weather for exploring the Alhambra in Granada and enjoying rooftop dinners in Madrid."
- What regions of Spain are best for luxury travel experiences?- The most refined experiences center around Andalusia (especially Seville Granada and Cordoba) Madrid and Barcelona. Each area offers something distinct from the palatial architecture of Granada to the sophisticated cultural scenes of Madrid and Barcelona. The Spanish Riviera and Basque Country draw visitors seeking upscale coastal experiences. As one TourRadar traveler puts it: "The contrast between the royal elegance of Madrid and the artistic sophistication of Barcelona combined with the Moorish luxury of Andalusia created an incredible high-end journey."
- What type of cultural experiences are included in luxury Spain tours?- The cultural program goes beyond standard tourist activities. You get private flamenco instruction in Granada special entry to the Alhambra Palace top-level wine tastings in La Rioja and cooking sessions with skilled local chefs in San Sebastian. TourRadar travelers note: "The local experiences were incredible - from the family-run restaurants to private tastings. Our tour included a wonderful paella cooking demonstration at a traditional restaurant in Valencia."
