Reviews of Spain Family Tours
- Spanish Experience (End Barcelona)Awesome trip. Will definitely do it again.
- Spanish Wonder (End Barcelona)It was a wonderful, experience. The guide, Alberto, was friendly, efficient and a fount of information. The local guides, especially Aurora in Seville, made every moment interesting. We noted tho extra excursions and found them to be very good value for the money. We went in 2015 which was not included in the drop down menu, nor was Alberto's name included in the list of guides.
- Northern Spain (Classic, End Barcelona)This was a great trip. The only downside was the surprising behavior of some of the passengers ( all over the age of 50) behaving like children with regards to seat allocations.
What our customers ask about Spain Family Tours
- What are the best family-friendly activities and attractions in Spain?- Spain's family activities range from modern entertainment to historical sites. The Isla Magica theme park in Seville combines rides with educational shows while Barcelona's Aquarium lets kids get close to Mediterranean marine life. Kids can run through the gardens of Granada's Alhambra Palace or play in Seville's María Luisa Park. The tours include stays at established family hotels such as the Silken Al-Andalus Palace in Seville and Sol Principe in Torremolinos. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The Isla Magica water and amusement park was a highlight for the kids with shows games and rides that took us back to the 16th century."
- What's the best time of year to visit Spain with children?- The ideal times for family visits are spring (April-May) and early fall (September-October) when the weather is mild and tourist sites are less crowded. Summer brings intense heat particularly in southern cities like Seville and Granada where temperatures often reach 100°F. Tourist data shows May and September are popular for family tours offering good conditions for outdoor activities. The Barceló Costa Vasca in San Sebastian provides an excellent base during these months with easy access to both beach activities and city attractions.
- How are hotel accommodations arranged for families on Spain tours?- Hotels like the NH Collection Eurobuilding in Madrid and Hilton Garden Inn Barcelona provide connecting rooms or family suites designed for groups. Most properties offer triple and quad room configurations with extra beds or pullout sofas. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The hotels were perfect for our family of four with plenty of space and great locations near major attractions and restaurants."
- Are there educational opportunities for children on these tours?- Tours blend learning with fun throughout Spain. Children discover history art and culture through hands-on activities. Family guides at the Alhambra make past events relevant while Barcelona's Gothic Quarter offers discovery walks with treasure hunt elements. One TourRadar family noted: "Our children learned so much without feeling like they were being taught - the guides made everything into a game or interesting story." Barcelona's CosmoCaixa museum stands out for its interactive science exhibits.
- How much free time is available during family tours?- Each day typically includes 2-3 hours of unstructured time in cities like Seville Granada and Toledo. Families can explore independently visit local parks or use hotel facilities. A TourRadar traveler noted: "We appreciated having enough free time to let the kids swim in the hotel pool and explore the charming streets of Toledo at our own pace."
- What meals are included and are there child-friendly food options?- Tours typically cover daily breakfast and select dinners with options suitable for young diners. Spanish food offers many kid-friendly choices including paella tortilla española and churros. As one family shared in their review: "The included meals had great options for kids - they loved the Spanish omelettes and seafood paella. Hotels were also accommodating with simpler dishes when needed." The Hotel Catalonia Barcelona 505 exemplifies this with special children's menus and flexible dining times.
