My husband and I did the 10-day Grand Classical Tour of Greece as a private tour and loved it. With George as our guide, and Christos as our driver, it was one of our most memorable trips. George is incredibly knowledgeable and Christos a great driver. We learned so much about Greek history, mythology and culture. Greece is an amazing country - so the tour was really engrossing. We tried all sorts of Greek food- food is a big part of the experience. George knew all the best places to eat! Because my husband and I are physically active, George made sure that each day included a nice amount of walking - around archaeological sites, up to ancient castles, etc. (I think this level of activity may have been somewhat customized to us). Epos was very easy to book with- they were responsive, accommodating, and very knowledgeable- we really appreciated the personalized attention from Dionysis during the booking process. By the end of the tour, saying goodbye to George and Christos felt like saying farewell to family. Thank you George, Christos and Dionysis for a wonderful tour!

Given that you’re accompanied by two local guides with extensive experience in all regions of Greece, you quickly understand and experience the culture and history of Greece. One of the guides had a Masters in European history , and was able to make ancient history come alive and become relevant to our current times. The accommodations and meals were excellent. Each hotel offered a different experience from a city hotel near the Acropolis to small mountainous resorts high in the hills. Each request whether it was for type of food, wine or cultural experience was enthusiastically received and fulfilled. After having this tour I feel I have a cultural and historical understanding of Greece that could be obtained no other way. The personalized attention of the tour guides was unsurpassed. I recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to become immersed in Greek culture, ancient and modern and experience the beauty of the mountainous region and small towns that few visitors will ever see, all surrounded by the comfort and welcoming experience created by the guides.
